Platform role

NGODost is a CSR discovery and engagement platform, not a donation, funding, or payment intermediary.

Overview

NGODost is designed to help verified NGOs and CSR-compliant corporates discover one another, evaluate fit, and initiate collaboration within the Indian CSR ecosystem. To operate that service, we process information that is necessary for account creation, platform administration, profile visibility, verification workflows, analytics, and support.

This Privacy Policy applies to information collected through the NGODost website, user accounts, administrator tools, verification workflows, application forms, support channels, and related platform communications.

By using NGODost, you acknowledge that certain information may need to be processed so the platform can function securely, transparently, and in line with its trust and compliance objectives.

Profile Visibility and Platform Transparency

NGODost is built to improve discovery and trust. As a result, some information included in organization profiles may be visible to other users or platform participants where that visibility supports profile evaluation and collaboration.

Public or role-visible information may include organization name, profile summary, focus areas, locations served, verification status, and other structured details necessary to help users assess credibility and relevance.

Sensitive compliance documents, internal review notes, administrator-only logs, passwords, and security credentials should not be treated as public profile content unless the platform expressly enables such disclosure for a defined workflow.

Sharing and Disclosure

Within the platform

  • Profile information that you choose to make visible, or that is necessary for the platform's discovery experience, may be shown to other users based on your role and settings.
  • Verification status, profile completeness, and certain organizational details may be visible to support trust and informed decision-making.
  • Documents and sensitive compliance materials are not intended to be public by default and should only be accessible where operationally necessary, permissioned, or explicitly enabled by the platform workflow.

Service providers and infrastructure partners

  • We may use vetted third-party vendors for hosting, storage, analytics, authentication, email delivery, customer support, and security monitoring.
  • These providers may process information on our behalf under contractual or operational controls designed to support confidentiality and appropriate data handling.

Legal and business disclosures

  • We may disclose information where required by law, court order, regulatory request, or to protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of NGODost, its users, or the public.
  • If NGODost undergoes a restructuring, merger, acquisition, grant-backed operational transfer, or similar organizational transition, data may be transferred as part of that process subject to applicable safeguards.

Security and Retention

We use reasonable technical, administrative, and organizational safeguards to help protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include role-based permissions, encrypted storage or transmission, access controls, audit logging, secure infrastructure, and internal review processes.

No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users are responsible for protecting their account credentials, using strong passwords, and notifying NGODost promptly if they suspect unauthorized account activity.

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the platform, maintain records of verification and engagement activity, comply with legal or operational obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or support security and fraud-prevention needs.

Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies

NGODost may use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep users signed in, remember preferences, measure traffic, understand feature usage, improve performance, and support security or abuse detection.

Browser settings may allow you to block or delete certain cookies. However, doing so can affect platform functionality, account access, personalization, or analytics accuracy.

Cross-Border Processing and Third-Party Links

Platform infrastructure or service providers may process information in locations outside your state or country of residence. Where such processing occurs, NGODost expects appropriate safeguards and operational protections to apply.

The platform may link to third-party websites, services, or documents. NGODost is not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties, and users should review those policies independently before sharing information.

Children's Privacy

NGODost is intended for organizations, professionals, and authorized adult representatives. The platform is not designed for children to create accounts or submit information directly. If you believe personal information relating to a child has been submitted inappropriately, please contact NGODost so the issue can be reviewed and addressed.

  • Access, review, and update account or profile information, subject to platform capabilities and verification requirements.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal or organizational information.
  • Request deletion or restriction of certain information, subject to legal, contractual, fraud-prevention, archival, or record-keeping obligations.

We may ask you to verify your identity before acting on certain requests. Some requests may be limited where information is required to maintain platform integrity, complete verification records, comply with law, or protect users and NGODost from risk or abuse.
